The role of an Advertising / Media Sales Executive generally involves generating revenue and sales through effective telesales activity. Advertising Sales Executives will be expected to meet call targets and to increase advertising revenue in their chosen type of Media. Previous sales experience is not usually required but Advertising / Media Sales Execs will need to demonstrate commercial acumen, excellent communication skills and an ability to work effectively in a team.
Main responsibilities usually include:
• Selling advertising space to current and new advertisers.
• Sourcing new business.
• Monitoring competitors, chasing relevant leads to increase advertising revenue
• Build relationships with clients by telephone, email and letter.
• making effective business telephone calls.
• Developing and encouraging other revenue producing services.
• Working towards individual and team revenue targets.
• Liaising with the Production Department.
